Today is day 5 of potty training and we have had no accidents so far today! She has gone on the potty 6 times so far. 2 of those times I took her potty, the other 4, she just stopped playing, walked over, sat on the potty and went all on her own. We are going to continue with the bare bottom training the rest of this week I think and put her in panties next week. Then we will need to transition from the potty chair in the living room to the bathroom. The way things are going, I think there is a chance she could be fully potty trained before her birthday! She cries when I put a diaper on her now, so that is definitely a good sign. We've tried the panties a few times over the last 5 days...here are some highlights. Raquelle's first time wearing panties! Raquelle found a better use for the panties. (in her opinion) Raquelle hiding while I try to take a picture of her cute little panties.

Potty training is going surprisingly well. We are at about an 80% success rate with her running around naked and either taking herself potty, or telling us she needs to go. When we put little panties on her, that drops to about a 40% success rate. Today, when I got her up from her nap, she walked right over to the potty chair, opened the lid and said potty. So I took her pants off and put her on it and she went. This morning, when she was playing nudist, I told her it was time to put a diaper on for her nap. She cried and said "no no, potty" and went and sat on the potty. So I went to get her lunch. When I came back, she had gone potty and was trying to clean out the potty chair herself. Of course, I caught her right as she was spilling it. She said no no and pointed to the mess on the floor. I told her good job for going pee on the potty and gave her a treat. Then cleaned up the mess. She definitely gets it. We are now completely in panties and training pants a...

Thus the journey begins. Raquelle can take off her pants, take off her diaper, hide in the corner and poop on the floor. Then she will bring me the clean diaper and say "uh oh, pee!" The other ladies at Mops have all encouraged me that this is a sign that she needs to potty train. She has been going potty on the potty for a while when we take her, but I just haven't pushed it because she is so young still. I realize that if we start now, most likely it will be a longer more involved process then if we wait. Also, if we succeed so young, she basically will be able to tell us she needs to go potty and will probably still need us to take her and help her when she goes. Still, the thought of being done with diapers is appealing. So, we did a test yesterday. When she woke up in the morning I took her potty. Then I put panties on her. We went and sat on the potty about every 40 min or so all morning. By nap time, the panties were still dry, but she also had not gone ...

Today, Titus finally picked his belly up off the floor and crawled for real! I'm so excited. He has gotten way to good at that army crawl and really needed to move on. Next step, Walking!

Titus is pulling up to a stand like a champ now. He can use just about anything to stand up: furniture, the wall, the fire place, a stuffed animal left on the floor... He occasionally will let go for a few seconds too. He loves to walk holding our hands, but no steps on his own yet. He has become a champion stander; I think it will still be several months before we see him actually walking though.

I kind of got a mini makeover these last couple weeks. I got new pants, new shoes, new hair cut, started using my skin care system consistently, new makeup and I feel great now! I thought I'd share the new me! Before - This is the most recent good picture I could find of myself from before my makeover started. After -A nice close up to show off the new skin, hair, and makeup. I wore this outfit to church and one of the ladies told me I should be a model! Having fun with the camera. Ok ok, so I'm sure you get the point by now...I feel pretty!

I know, I know...Titus is actually 8.5 months old, so we finally had his 6 month check up and shots. He is really cranky today and pretty much cried all night last night. We were suppose to wait till he was 7 months for his check up anyway, then when I called to schedule, we had to schedule 3 weeks out. Thus the 6 month check up at 8 months old. So, his stats... Weight 21 lbs 8 oz - 75% Height 29.5" - 90% He is still big, but he is finally starting to slow down some. He now says "mama" "dada" and "baba". I don't know where "baba" came from since he is still mostly nursing. Probably from his sister. Speaking of Raquelle...she is learning so many new things every day. We played with potty training some, and are now taking a break from it. She went on the toilet 6 times in one day, but even with taking her every 30 min, she would wet her diaper in between. If she can't hold it for at least half an hour at a time, she isn't...
