Titus would like to let you all know that he is done with Colic! (Or at least mostly done). Here is Raquelle with her first cup of XS! Don't worry, it was the caffine free type. Brian flew up from San Diego for 4th of July week! We got to see him for a few hours today before he headed up to Tenino. We can't wait to see him again on the 3rd and 4th. My camera just started doing that. I'll have to play with the settings and figure it out. I had a couple videos to add to this post too, but I didn't want to make it take too long for those with dial up. Titus had his 2 month check up this evening. Here are his stats. Weight - 14 lbs 1 oz Height - 25 inches Head - 16.5 inches I would add the percentiles, but the chart only goes up to 100. That's right...my son is off the charts in all areas! For comparison, this is about how big Raquelle was at 5 months old. No wonder he fills out his 6-9 month clothes so well! He is no longer able to wear any 3-6 month clothes and the 6-9 month overalls he wore the other day were too short on him! I bet by the time he is 1, he will outweigh Raquelle and maybe be as tall as her too! The only concern we have from his check up is a small hernia in his belly. They aren't worried about it now and said they would just check on it again at 4 months old.

I swear, it's like looking in a mirror every time I look at Raquelle! She's getting a little too smart for her own good! Thad is walking the dog and Raquelle is trying to lock him out while he's gone! Thad and Titus. Lately, it's been taking till 10 or 11 pm to get Titus to go to sleep and STAY asleep for the night. Titus in his "bed". He is a very sensitive boy. Supposedly Colic is caused either by an immature digestive system, or an immature nervous system. With Titus, I think it's his nervous system. He gets over stimulated very easily, and then he has to be swaddled, in the swing, with his pacifier to stay calmed down. I don't think we'll even attempt to wean him from sleeping in the swing until he is between 3 and 4 months old (unless he outgrows the weight limit before then!) In other updates, Raquelle has now moved completely in to size 2T or 24 month clothes. Titus still has a few 3-6 month clothes he can wear, but not many. Mostl...

Raquelle is learning so much every day. Her most recent new words are baby, Titus, and Teddy. They are all pretty clear too. She now eats both at her high chair and at the table. If I give her dinner before us, when we eat she climbs up on the chair at the table and wants to eat with us. So we get a little plate for her too. Someone suggested to me that the best way to teach her to use silverware is to just give them to her at every meal. Supposedly if she has them, she will learn by watching us. She is doing pretty good with her fork! The only problem is that now she only wants to use her fork. So it takes her 45 min to eat half of a waffle! She tries to use the spoon the same as a fork. So obviously all the food falls off before it gets to her mouth. But she'll get it eventually. Maybe we need to try something sticky with the spoon so it will stick to it for her. Anyway, see for yourself....my little girl is growing up! Of course, we couldn't have a post withou...

I finally got around to having the mess Thad made out of my hair professionally fixed! At least he left it long enough that they had something to work with! Now I'm thinking I should have taken a picture of it before it was fixed...just to show off his barber skills! It's probably a good thing I didn't.

Raquelle is learning to eat at the table! She figured out how to climb up on to the chairs and onto the table. Of course, she was scolded and spanked for climbing on the table, but we decided it was time to teach her what the table is really for. Pretty soon, we will get a booster seat for her and she will eat all her meals at the table so Titus can use the high chair. Until then, she is getting her snacks at the table like a big girl! Titus is absolutely huge!!! You would never guess he is only 6 weeks old! We both think he could pass for 5 or 6 months old if he had a little more head control. Here is a picture of him and Thad. Titus is wearing 6 to 9 month clothes in this picture (at 6 weeks old!!) and they aren't even big on him! The onsie is actually a little small for him. What do you do when it gets over 80 degrees and you have whiny fussy kids and everyone is grouchy and too hot? You go to Walmart and buy a little kid pool for $5. Raquelle likes to swim! The pool is more fun then a bath because it is outside! Blowing kisses at daddy as he leaves to walk the dog. And what swimming adventure would be complete without a mini water fight! She spent probably 45 min or so playing in the pool before she decided to get out and get all dirty. Then we had to hose her down before she could go inside. I can't wait till the kids are old enough for the bigger pools! Then Thad and I can sit in them too while they play.
