We had a great weekend. Thad has been working 10 hour minimums 6 days a week for over a month now. He actually got to take all 3 days off this weekend! On Saturday, Thad and I took some time for ourselves. We dropped the kids off with Bill and Krista and went to see Prince Caspian and then out to Hometown Buffet for dinner. Basically it was to celebrate our anniversary early. (Yeah for 5 years!). Sunday we went to church as a family, all took naps together in the afternoon, and then after the kids went to bed, Thad and I stayed up and watched the "Water horse". It was a cute movie. Today, we decided was our "family day". We took the kids to the zoo. It was overcast and rained the whole drive up, but it stayed dry while we were there. Then it rained while we were in the car on the way home. The kids absolutely loved all the animals! Ty's favorites were the ducks, fish and turtles, and petting the goats. Raquelle liked pretty much everything except the leopard. Sh...

Ok, so Titus actually turned 1 over a month ago, but I hadn't posted any pictures yet, so I thought I'd share. He got snow for his birthday, so that was nice! It was the first snow of the year that stuck at our house! Anyway, here are some more highlights from the birthday. Breakfast of the champions! He really wanted cookie dough. Ty's favorite toy. Opening presents. He got some great toys and really cute clothes. The little stuffed frog replaced his binki a week later! MMMM! Cake! I think this was his favorite part! Ok, so it was my favorite part too!

I think it is good for kids to learn responsibility at a young age. We have started giving Raquelle a few "chores" now that she is 2. Here are some pictures of her fulfilling one of her daily duties. Max doesn't seem to mind when she misses his bowl. He'll eat anything. Stopping to look at the snow before going back inside out of the cold. This was the day after Ty's birthday. She also clears the table after meals, helps wipe down any messes, and helps clean up her toys.

So, earlier this week it was in the 50's, now today it's 97! We went from 50 to 97 in just a couple days!!! What happened to Spring? Is it just me or did we skip from winter directly to Summer this year? So, it was time to get out the water! Aunt Sarah bought this for the kids for Christmas and they were finally able to play with it yesterday and today! It didn't take long for Raquelle to figure this one out! She absolutely loves her new slide! Titus in his new car from Aunt Krista. Uh oh, she was a cup of water! This can only mean trouble! AAH! Look out Titus! Raquelle - "Ty Wet!" Titus - "WAAAAH!!"

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. There has been a lot going on and aside from being short on time, my camera cord is still missing. If you were Raquelle, where would you put it? Anyway...Since finding out our house is for sale, I have decided to start a home day care. I'm in process of taking all the required classes. I've had them all before, but most of them need renewed every 3 years or so, so they are all expired. In the mean time, I can legally babysit for 3 kids without being registered. I interviewed with one family on the weekend and will find out if I get their kids tomorrow. I plan on just babysitting for one family until we move, whether that be next month or in 8 months...then once we move, I will have had all the classes and will just need the home inspection to be registered and I will be able to take more kids then. I'm looking forward to being a 2 income family again and am praying that God will bless my efforts in this. The only other thing goin...
