My smart little boy

I need a post just to brag about some of the things Titus is doing now. I am so shocked and impressed with him. His biggest development lately is in his language skills. If I remember right, most little kids I know start stringing 2 words together around 2 years old. Titus is 16 months and is already doing this! His 2 word combinations include: thank you, all done, all gone, sippy broke, I stuck, it stuck, sippy down, spoon down, cracker down...and he seems to be coming up with more every day. I am amazed at how well he communicates what he wants for his age! We've started watching some letter videos every day to help Raquelle with her alphabet. Titus is picking up on his letters and their sounds just as fast as she is! He sees the A on TV and will tell you "AAAA". Today he was "reading" a book to Raquelle. It was a book of opposits. He got to the page with the bear on the slide and said "Up! Down!" And yes, it was the up down page in the ...

Oregon State Fair

We took the kids to the fair today and they had tons of fun. The weather report was for 86 and sunny, but it ended up sprinkling off and on and windy with a down poor as we were heading back to the car. At least the heavy rain and thunder held off until we were done. Some highlights...The kids really liked the duck races, the farm animals, petting zoo, and their favorite was probably the toddler fun zone. We did not end up going on any rides this year...Raquelle was a little clingy and unsure of the whole thing. They have sheep riding! After watching a few kids ride sheep (rodeo style) Raquelle was talking about riding a sheep for the next hour. So we went back and bought her a ticket ($5) to ride a sheep. When she got to the front of the line and it was her turn, she freaked out and started screaming and crying and clinging to Thad. So much for sheep riding. Maybe next year. For my local readers who have not been yet, it is for ages 2 to 8 and under 65 lbs. Anyway, here are some pictu...

7 Months!

I can't believe it's just 2 more months before we get to start trying all those at home methods to induce labor! It's amazing how time goes by so fast! I have stayed much healthier this pregnancy and am now reaping the benefits of that. I am currently about 15 lbs less then I was with Titus at this point, and as a result am much less uncomfortable and seem to have more energy to keep up with the kids. For a comparison, with both Titus and Raquelle, I out grew the size XL maternity pants before they were born and had to wear sweats for the last month. This time, I am in size M and they still fit quite comfortably. I do have one prayer request for everyone. If you could all please pray that the baby is born in the end of October, not November, we would really appreciate it! I am due Nov 3rd, and we just found out that if the baby is born by Oct 31st the hospital bill will be 100% covered, but starting Nov 1st, we would owe $1500 plus 20% (about $3000) for this bab...
