Growing, growing, growing!

We all got weighed this morning since Thad un-hid the scale for the day. I think Titus just had a growth spurt because he suddenly looks huge to me again. Sure enough, this morning we weighed 24.2 lbs. Raquelle weighed in at 26.2 lbs. Raquelle was about 24 lbs at her 18 month check up, so she has gained 2 lbs in the last 6 months. Titus is now the weight Raquelle was at 18 months. I guess the good thing about him having a sudden growth spurt is that now all the 24 month clothes he got for Christmas fit him. He can no longer squeeze into his 18 month onsies. They are too short and don't snap. 24 month fits his waist and body size, but we are still rolling up some of the pants and sleeves. The things that were cotton and shrunk in the was are a perfect fit. I got to weigh this morning too. I didn't lose any weight this week, but I did lose 6.5 inches total. I have dropped a clothes size in the last 2 weeks so I must be burning the fat and building the muscle. When Tha...

Raquelle's birthday party

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. The kids have been sick and very needy. They have had constant colds for over 3 weeks now. On Saturday morning, Raquelle woke up very upset and with a high fever. We gave her tylenol and motrin throughout the day and that seemed to help some, but she was very clingy. By Saturday afternoon, her temp was 103. I gave her tylenol and it came down to 102.9. So I gave her motrin and it came down to 101. something. At that point since I had used both fever meds together, I called the dr. Dr said to take her to the ER. So, Thad stayed home with Titus and Raquelle and I went to the hospital. When she checked in at triage, her temp was 102.7, 2 hours after taking both tylenol and motrin together. Of course, even with the fever, as soon as we got to the hospital she was ready to play. The waiting room was no problem because they had a little play area. Then we were taken back to our room where we waited another hour to see a dr. Our room was full...

First Sunday in panties

Raquelle had no accidents Friday or Saturday, so we let her wear her panties to church this morning. I packed 3 changes of clothes and a diaper just in case things went wrong. She ended up coming home in the same undies and pants that we went to church in! Her first time wearing panties anywhere other then home and she had no accidents. Of course, this made me very happy. I wasn't sure if she would be willing to sit on a the big toilet to go potty, but she was. I let her wear her training pants for nap this afternoon since diapers are traumatic now. We'll see if they are thick enough to keep her sheets dry. We may need to go the route of pull ups for night and nap for a while. Did I tell everyone the story of her and diapers? Now that she has been in panties all week, she will throw a tantrum when we try to put a diaper on her. The first tantrum was an hour and a half of kicking, screaming and hitting, all because she didn't want to wear a diaper to bed. The next...
