I love Craigs list!

I love Craigs list! Our new house does not come with washer, dryer or refrigerator. I was able to find used ones on craigs list very cheep! Yeah! I found a washer dryer set for $80, and a refrigerator for $150! Talk about a bargain! And yes, they work. We are going by the house tonight to sign papers, pay for it and get the keys...etc...then we are going to look at and pay for the washer & dryer, then the refrigerator. It will be a late night for the kids. Hopefully they will hold up with all the running around. Then, we will get home, put them to bed and spend a few more hours packing before we turn in. Busy days ahead! By the way, if there is anyone who reads my blog who lives locally and would like to help, let me know. We will be starting at 8:00 AM on Saturday. I am providing muffins and fruit for breakfast and pizza for lunch for anyone who shows up.

Uh oh!

Raquelle has a new word. This is every Christian parents nightmare and I have no clue how to fix it! We were driving up to grandma's house Friday night, and Thad pointed out the big semi truck out the window. Raquelle pointed at it and said "OOOH! Truck!" Only, the TR in truck was pronounced as an F! She continued to point out every "truck" for the rest of the drive up. We spent the rest of the drive listening to "Big Truck" "See truck" "Ty Truck" "Oh no, truck" etc...all with the tr being pronounced as an F. We have since tried convincing her that the semi's are actually big cars, but she is too smart for that. She went to church with grandma, and in the church parking lot was kind enough to point out the "big trucks". We left the kids with my parents for the weekend and they had a little too much fun. My mom caught Raquelle playing with the phone a few hours after we left the kids with her. She...

Titus's feet

Titus has funny feet. I thought when he first started walking along furniture that he looked a little bow legged. As he learned to walk, he kind of had a funny awkward look to his walk. A couple months ago, we were at the dr because he had a high fever. The dr asked if he always walked like that (looks like his balance is off). I told him yes, he just learned how to walk so he is still a little unstable. Then, 4th of July, my mom (thanks mom), pointed out that he turns his right foot in and drags the top of his foot. No wonder he falls down so much. He has now been walking long enough that I don't think balance is the issue. I finally asked the dr about it yesterday. Titus has an appointment in 2 weeks for evaluation. Depending on how the evaluation goes, it will be decided if he can be treated locally or if we will need to go to the pediatric orthopedist in Portland. Between now and then, they want me to make him wear his shoes on the wrong feet whenever he is awake....

We got a house!

Wow! That was fast! Thad and I agreed on a price range, I e-mailed every house and duplex listed on Craigs list that allowed dogs in that range. All but 2 had already been rented. Thad and I went to look at one together and it didn't work. I went and looked at the other on my own (he had to work), and we decided to apply for it, and were approved! So, that means I have 2 weeks to pack up everything we own and then move! EEK! Oh, and that is while being 6 months pregnant, working around two 1 yr olds and a 2 yr old, possibly having a hernia, and with Thad working 12 to 14 hour days! So, if anyone in town reads this blog and would like to come either help pack, or entertain the kids while I pack, that would be great! If you can help on moving day, we are hoping to do the final intensive packing August 1st, Move the 2nd, clean the 3rd and hopefully be out of here!

Moving

Well, it looks like we will be moving very shortly here. Our landlord would like to do a bunch of re-modeling down here and then rent the place out for quite a bit more then what we are currently paying. I'm grateful for the time we were able to live here so inexpensively, but that time has come to a close. He made it clear that we are not being kicked out, but that it would be in his best interest if we would start looking for another place to live. We went and looked at a house today, and unfortunately it won't work. So I went on Craig's list and e-mailed every add that was for a house under a certain $$ amount that allowed pets. I'm going tomorrow evening to look at another one and hope to be able to look at 4 or 5 houses this week. Our goal is to be moved and settled into our new home at the latest by the time the baby is born. If we find something right away though, then we would move right away.

Raquelle's turn

Image
Raquelle's new thing lately is all the pretend play. Yesterday, I used my new sewing machine to make my first 2 diapers for this new baby. I tried one of the diapers on Raquelle's baby doll for fun. Of course, it was a little big, but it worked. Raquelle thought it was great that baby nay was wearing a diaper. when I went to change Titus, she brought baby nay over and laid her down next to Titus. She took the dolls diaper off and asked me for wipes. It went something like this. Raquelle - "Mama! Baby nay poopy!" Me - "Baby nay's poopy?" Raquelle - "Wipe! Need wipe! EEW! Nay poopy!" Me - "Baby Nay isn't poopy, Ty's poopy!" Raquelle - "EEW! Ty Poopy! Baby Nay wet! Wipe! Wipe!" After we changed baby nay's diaper, she went and put her in the playpen. I asked her an hour later "Where's baby nay?" And she said "SSH! Baby nay sleep!" and pointed at the play pen. A couple days ag...

Spotlight on Titus!

Image
As of today, Titus can climb into the play pen! This means all day, over and over I have to go get him back out because he gets stuck. He can also climb up onto chairs and onto the couch now. Now that I think about it, he will be 15 months next week, and 15 months is when Raquelle moved to a toddler bed because she kept climbing out of her crib at night and falling on the floor. I had hoped he would stay in his crib until he was 3 (ok, maybe just 2...but still). I have one more notch I can lower his mattress so hopefully that will buy us some time. His other new thing is he now spins in circles to get dizzy and then falls down. This one is more fun. He learned it from Raquelle and laughs hysterically when he does it. And just for fun...to date, here are a list of his words. Mama, dada, baba, bath, cracker, duck, ball, book, hi, bye, down, ding (when he pokes his belly button), dirty (when I am changing his diaper). I think there might be more, but that's what comes to min...
