This is what happens when Raquelle tries to walk along the dog instead of the couch. I think these are only the 2nd ever pictures of her crying! She started walking along the boxes, made her way over to the couch, then turned around and grabbed onto the dog letting go of the couch. The dog stayed put and I thought it was so cute that I went to get the camera (Thad was supervising). Then the dog moved. The moving dog caused the baby to fall down right as I got there with the camera. From what I could tell, she didn't fall hard or get hurt, but she has become quite the drama queen. If she falls down, she will cry for me or Thad to pick her up even if she only landed on her bum.  

Imagine again with me that you are a mom of a developmentally advanced 6.5 month old. You hear the baby wake up in the morning but she is playing happily in the crib. You roll over and try to catch just a few more min. Eventually the baby starts fussing so you pull yourself out of bed to start the day. As you enter the nursery you notice this horrible smell. Ahhh...poopy diaper. You walk over to the crib only to discover that your child is naked. The jammies have been partially removed and the poopy diaper is not attached to the baby. In fact, it's on the other side of the crib leaving tell tale trails everywhere it has been on its way to its current location. It looks as though your lovely baby, who is ever so proud of herself and smiling hugely with excitement to see you, has used the contents of her diaper as finger paint. I am so ready to move away from this town! We've only been here 2 months and our vehicles have been broken into 3 times. I'm sick of having to totally clean out the car every night before going to bed because if I leave even 1 penny, or a CD in sight, we wake up to no window. So far a total of about $4,000 worth of stuff and money has been stolen from us. Our next door neighbors home was broken into. I'm so sick of feeling like I can't open the windows at night or someone might break in and who knows what they would take or who they would hurt. If I could find a place in Salem with similor rent that allows large dogs with a move in special where you don't have to pay a deposit, I would move tomorrow! From what I understand, this is pretty standard activity for a "good" neighborhood in Albany. I think we would be safer in a "bad" neighborhood is Salem! Last night Thad's work car was broken into and the computer was stolen out of it. ...

Here is Raquelle finding new things to pull up and walk along. It takes her a while to get from her knees to standing all the way upright. She spends a few min in this position with her butt sticking out and her feet too far away from whatever she is holding on to before she gets her feet scooted in and stands all the way up. It's really cute. I have so many cute butt shots of her now!! She has gotten very good at walking along the furniture and walking holding our hands. I think she will be walking on her own as soon as she can get the balance part down.  

Raquelle is sick. Poor baby. Thad came down with a cold on Saturday. I woke up with it on Monday, and Raquelle first realized she had it at 3 AM. Of course, we are out of Tylenol, and we are out of cold medicine so she has been just miserable. She went to the dr for her 6 month check up this afternoon so at least we know her sore throat isn't strep, and her lungs are fine and no ear infection. Just a nasty cold. She can't sleep in her crib. If she is on her back, she is coughing and choking and practically drowning in her snot. If she is on her tummy, she ends up laying in a puddle of snot and that doesn't make her happy either. I still haven't unpacked the baby book yet, so you get yet another milestone update. As of today, Raquelle is crawling on all 4's instead of just an army crawl! She has been going back and forth between crawling on her hands and knees, and her hands and feet all afternoon!

I know grandpa has been asking for a picture of Raquelle driving so I finally decided to post one. Raquelle really likes her car. She says thank you grandpa for getting it for her. It also gives mommy and daddy a nice safe place to put her down and find her in the same spot when we come back for her!
