It's one of those mornings....

that I wish Thad was a stay at home dad, or that it was Saturday so I didn't have to deal with this. I woke up this morning way earlier then I wanted to to Raquelle pounding on the bathroom door (between the bedrooms) and yelling "MOMMY MOMMY!" I tried to ignore it hoping she would give up and go back to bed. She switched to her bedroom door pounding and yelling "MOMMY!" Then she came back to the bathroom door...so I decided maybe I should just get them up. I walked into the kids room and Raquelle says "OH NO! Ty Poopy!" I look over and there is Ty's pants and a perfectly clean diaper on the floor next to the crib. Titus is sitting in his crib (very happy I might add) naked, in a huge pile of poop! He looks up at me with a big smile, holds up a handful of poop and says "Cracker!" and shoves it in his mouth! EEEWWWW!!!! He had it all over his face, hands and was totally caked in it from waist to toes. I grabbed the nearest pack of wipes to try to start cleaning him up. After 6 wipes and no progress, I concluded that he had done this several hours ago while we were sleeping. It was all dried to him. So I went and got a bath ready thinking that I would soak him like you soak 3 day old dishes that were forgotten. I very carefully picked up the filthy child and put him in the tub. I decided while he was soaking that I deserved ice cream for breakfast today and was pleasantly surprised to find that Thad had hidden a cherry dilly bar in the freezer (My biggest craving this pregnancy). So I stood there and ate my dilly bar for breakfast while he soaked in the tub and played with his rubber duckies. He sure was proud of himself. Luckly, it worked and all of the poop soaked off pretty easily.

I got him dressed and went back to clean up the mess. I pulled the blankets, sheets, mattress pad and stuffed animals out of his crib and threw them in the wash. Then I had to scrub down the mattress because somehow he had gotten poop under the sheet and mattress pad. Then I had to take the mattress out and scrub down the crib bars because he had grabbed onto them with his poop covered hands. And then I decided to take a break to blog about it. I still have to go back and scrub what he threw across the room off of the dressers and out of the rug. Yuck!

Oh, and to top it all off, when I went to get dressed, I popped the button off of my last pair of pre-pregnancy pants. *Sigh* I'm going to have some sewing to do after this baby is born before I can wear any of my old pants again.

That totally tops any poop experience I've had with 2 kids! You have my most profound sympathy! I think that Thad owes you a very, very nice dinner out... without the kids. ...Debbie

Okay, that's hillarious. Not going through it I'm sure, but looking back on it it's going to be one of those stories that you can tell over and over and over again!
