This last weekend

Hey guys. Just got home. Here's what happened over the last couple days...

My mom came to help clean. I couldn't just sit and watch so I did some cleaning and organizing yesterday too. I was having regular ctx all day, but they weren't really painful. Went to bed about 11 pm (Saturday night) and they were annoying enough to keep me from sleeping well, but not enough to go in. Raquelle woke up just before 1 AM and since Thad was taking care of her I got up to use the bathroom. When I got back in bed, I had a really strong painful ctx. Thad came back in while I was breathing through it and asked if we were going to the hospital. I told him yes I think so, but lets wait for some more and see how far apart they are. They were 7 min apart so we got up and got dressed, ate a snack, etc. They got to 5 min apart, and then I had a couple back to back ones so we left for the hospital just after 2. When I checked into the hospital, I was at 2 cm (I was 1 cm at my mid week check up). So I was happy about that. We went walking for two hours and at 5 AM I was "A stretch 3 cm" We were thrilled to make a whole cm progress in just 2 hours so we sent out the texts saying I was in labor. We rotated between watching tv and walking all morning and I got my IV with the antibiotics for Strep. Around 9 or so, I noticed the ctx didn't seem as painful so we tried walking to keep them going. When they checked me at 10:30, I was still at 3 cm. By noon the ctx had completely stopped. The dr came in around then and offered to either let us go home, let us hang out and see what happens, or break my water and start pitocin. I was undecided so he checked me and I was still 3 and he said the baby is still pretty high. Since Titus was still high, we decided to go home instead of proceed with an induction. Since I had such a bad reaction to the epi last time I won't have one this time and I just didn't want to start pitocin without the option of an epi unless it was really necessary. So, I'm still pregnant and hoping that things start back up soon (like today!)

Well, at the very least when this kid finally comes out he's going to have a cool name :0)

I was gonna say... is that a typo or a baby name!!

I'll be thinking of you and hope that all goes well as you progress into the real thing. :)

Come down baby come out!
*Does baby dance to make baby come out.
I'm totally in sympathy of mothers with babies who fake their parents out with contractions and hospital trips that do not end in newborns.
Come down baby come out!
The baby is worth the wait, I promise.

Yup, that's a baby name. Technically, Thad had our first boy's name picked out since we got married. I really didn't have much of a say.

So...I never really knew until reading Diana's and now this blog that you could actually go into labor and then just stop being in labor. I mean, I definitely knew about "false labor" and Braxton Hicks or whatever they are called, but this seriously takes it to a whole new level, and it seems quite unfair:-) If you ask me, you guya are definitely troopers:-) Loves!
