1st Hospital Trip

I have a lot of contractions in the last month of pregnancy. It's no fun at all. Usually they start mid afternoon and continue through the evening and then taper off a couple hours after I try to go to bed. Sometimes a bath will help. Monday was no exception, only a bath didn't help, hot tea didn't help, and they didn't taper off over night. I was up all night with them and they continued all day Tuesday. By the time Thad got home from work he told me I needed to go to the hospital. I disagreed. I tried to explain that I'm not in labor, I'm just in misery. So he called my MW and the two of them ganged up on me. Since the dr office is right accros the street from the hospital and they are open late on Tuesdays, it didn't seem so bad to go there and get checked. Sure enough, I was right and we were sent back home. At least one good thing came of the trip....Ambien. God bless Ambien! I was actually able to sleep on Tuesday night and had pretty much no contractions all day yesterday. Today they have started back up again, but I have 3 more pills to ration over the course of the next week til my next check up.

In other household news and events, I cut bangs on Raquelle. I'm waiting for a chance for Thad to hold her down for me to even them out before I post a picture. But even a little uneven, they are really really cute! Besides, most kids this age have uneven hair anyway! It's nice to not have to put her hair up every day and still be able to see her pretty eyes. Oh...and she is 13 months old today.

Ten days to go - aaaaaaah!!! I'm so excited. I hope he'll be born so I can see him this weekend. Wait - if he's born this week will I see him this weekend? I was up and around right away after Alexander was born but from what I hear most people have a little slower time of it. Anyways we hope to meet little boy soon! : )
