6 Month check up
I know, I know...Titus is actually 8.5 months old, so we finally had his 6 month check up and shots. He is really cranky today and pretty much cried all night last night. We were suppose to wait till he was 7 months for his check up anyway, then when I called to schedule, we had to schedule 3 weeks out. Thus the 6 month check up at 8 months old. So, his stats...
Weight
21 lbs 8 oz - 75%
Height
29.5" - 90%
He is still big, but he is finally starting to slow down some. He now says "mama" "dada" and "baba". I don't know where "baba" came from since he is still mostly nursing. Probably from his sister.
Speaking of Raquelle...she is learning so many new things every day. We played with potty training some, and are now taking a break from it. She went on the toilet 6 times in one day, but even with taking her every 30 min, she would wet her diaper in between. If she can't hold it for at least half an hour at a time, she isn't ready yet. We are still taking her potty occasionally, but I don't foresee giving up diapers any time soon.
She is doing all sorts of cute things now. So, I thought I'd share a couple of her cute stories. She got 2 baby dolls for Christmas. The other day, when I went to put Titus to bed, she followed me in and put her baby to bed in her bed. She laid the baby down, tucked the blankets around her, and said "night night". Then When I got Titus up, she followed me in and got her baby up and fed it the Mayo bottle from her subway food set. The condiments are the perfect size and shape for feeding to baby dolls. She now sleeps with her teddy, baby turtle, and both baby dolls at night.
One more cute thing...A few nights ago, Titus was crying about an hour after I had put the kids to bed. I let him cry a while and eventually decided to go in and see if he needed anything. When I went in, Raquelle was half way between her bed and the floor climbing down. She looked at me, climbed back in bed, pointed at the screaming baby and said "Uh oh! Baby cry! Cry! Baby Ty! Uh oh! Cry!" I think she was getting out of bed to go take care of him! Maybe I should have waited a few min. Of course, her idea of taking care of him is taking his binkie away and then unsuccessfully trying to shove it back into his mouth, or throwing her doll or sippy cup into the crib for him.
Speaking of crying, that baby is screaming again (got to love shots!) so TTFN.
